1. About these terms
Promptogo Inc. (the Company) operates PrompToGo at promptogo.ca. These Terms of Service govern access to the website, learning accounts and classroom tools. A person who uses these services is a User. A parent or legal guardian who arranges a student’s participation is a Parent.
Users must follow these terms when using the services. A minor’s participation requires the involvement and permission of a Parent. These website terms do not replace a signed school, partner, instructor or enrollment agreement. Specific written enrollment terms govern the purchased program if they conflict with these general terms. Mandatory legal rights always apply.
2. Students, parents and account approval
Parents and students register with a name, email address and password. Registration creates an account awaiting administrator approval. Approval and class or room assignment are separate from payment or confirmation of a place in a paid program. Registration does not require an email verification link.
A Parent must contact the Company before anyone creates an account for a child under 13. This also applies when a child cannot understand the proposed use of personal information. The Company must arrange an appropriate consent process before that participation. Administrator approval alone does not establish parental consent.
Users must provide accurate account information and use an email address they have permission to use. Users must protect passwords and keep private setup links confidential. Users must report suspected unauthorized access promptly. Teacher and administrator privileges require authorization from the Company. A User must not claim another person’s identity or request access to an unrelated child’s records.
3. Classes, progress and EXP
Teachers and administrators manage class membership, room assignments and learning activities. Parent access depends on an authorized link to the student. The available dashboard may include assigned classes and reports that staff have shared. Access does not imply that every activity is monitored or that every student record is visible to a Parent.
Experience points (EXP), badges and ranks recognize participation or activity. They have no cash value and are not transferable. They are not academic grades, accredited qualifications or proof of skill mastery. The Company may correct an error, duplicate award or misuse of the EXP system.
4. Fees, cancellations and program changes
Creating a website account does not itself purchase a class or authorize a charge. The applicable enrollment offer or checkout identifies program fees, currency, taxes, payment dates and any recurring charges. A Parent or other authorized adult must arrange a minor’s paid enrollment.
The written cancellation, refund, rescheduling and service commitments supplied with the particular enrollment apply to that program. These terms do not introduce a new cancellation fee, automatic renewal or blanket no-refund rule. To request cancellation or a refund, contact promptogo.learn@gmail.com and identify the enrollment. Do not send payment-card details by email.
Any cancellation, refund or other remedy required by applicable consumer law remains available, regardless of the wording of an enrollment offer. A change to these website terms does not retroactively reduce an existing paid enrollment commitment. The Company will communicate material changes to scheduled services and address the affected enrollment under its applicable terms and legal obligations.
5. Acceptable use and classroom conduct
Users must treat other participants respectfully and follow reasonable teacher instructions. Users must not harass, threaten or discriminate against others. Users must not submit unlawful or exploitative material or upload malware. Users must not disclose another person’s private information without permission.
Users must not bypass access controls, manipulate EXP, impersonate staff, misuse private class links, disrupt the service or attempt unauthorized access to accounts or records. A User must have the necessary rights and permissions for submitted text, images, code and other materials.
Passwords, identity documents, health information, payment details and other sensitive information must not be included in learning prompts or shared classroom work. Safety concerns should be reported to the teacher or the Company. The platform is not an emergency service.
6. AI tools and outside services
Where an AI activity is enabled, submitted prompts, relevant project context and selected uploads may be processed by an AI service provider. AI output can be inaccurate, biased, inappropriate or similar to another person’s work. A User must check an output before relying on, publishing or running it. Teacher supervision and filters do not guarantee that every output is safe or correct.
External tools and websites have their own terms, privacy practices and age restrictions. A lesson mentioning a tool does not authorize a student to bypass those restrictions or create an account without any required permission. No particular academic, employment, competition or financial outcome is guaranteed by using the platform.
7. Student work and teaching materials
As between the Company and the User, the User retains the rights the User holds in submitted work. AI output may not qualify for exclusive ownership or copyright protection. Third-party rights continue to apply.
The User grants the Company a non-exclusive permission to host, copy, process and display submitted work. This permission applies only as reasonably needed for the following purposes: service delivery, classroom collaboration, authorized reports, security and resolution of service issues. This permission does not transfer ownership. Retained copies remain subject to the Privacy Policy.
The Company must obtain separate permission before using identifiable student work, images, recordings or testimonials in public promotion. Accepting these terms is not a publicity release.
The Company and its licensors retain their rights in course materials, software and branding. Access permits use for the authorized learning activity. It does not permit resale, public redistribution or representation that a User is an authorized PrompToGo instructor or partner.
8. Availability, suspension and account closure
The Company may maintain, update or temporarily interrupt the service. It may restrict an account to investigate misuse, protect participants or respond to a legal requirement. Where reasonably practicable, the Company will explain a restriction and provide a way to contact support. Urgent safety or security action may occur first.
Users may ask to close an account through promptogo.learn@gmail.com. Closing an account and cancelling a paid enrollment are distinct requests. A User should specify both requests when both are intended. Account closure does not erase records that must be retained for an applicable purpose described in the Privacy Policy.
9. Responsibility and legal rights
Users are responsible for their own conduct and for taking reasonable care with account access and submitted content. The Company remains responsible for its obligations under applicable law and any applicable enrollment agreement.
These terms do not exclude a statutory warranty or limit a remedy that cannot lawfully be limited. Consumers do not waive access to a court or a legally available proceeding. Ontario law and applicable federal Canadian law govern these terms, subject to mandatory protections in a consumer’s jurisdiction.
10. Changes and contact
The Company will identify the effective date of an updated version on this page. Material changes affecting an existing account or enrollment will be communicated through an appropriate service notice. Where fresh agreement or consent is legally required, publication alone does not replace it.
